Boats and Equipment

Northern Exposure Rescue has access to a wide variety of boats, either owned by the club, its members or hired in for a specific role. Below is a list of just some of the boats we have used over the years to support events.

"Northern Exposure 1"

This is a 6.7m Delta RIB with a single 140hp OMC Engine and fitted with a self righting bag for the more wild weather!

"Northern Exposure 2"

This is a 5.5m Humber Assault RIB fitted with a 150hp Mariner Optimax Engine.

"Northern Exposure 3"

This is a 5.8m Ribtec RIB fitted with a 135hp Mercury Optimax Engine.

"Northern Exposure 4"

This is a 5.8m Ribtec RIB fitted with a 135hp Mercury Verado Engine.

"Southern Comfort"

This is a 5.5m Northcraft RIB fitted with a 150hp Mariner Optimax Engine.

"Eastern Thunder"

This is 4.1m Thundercat SIB fitted with a specially adapted 50hp Mariner Lightning Engine.

"Barrier II"

This is a 6.2m Avon Searider RIB fitted with twin 60hp Mariner 4 stroke engines. As the biggest regular boat in our fleet she quickly became our "mothership"!

"RIB ONE"

This is a 6.5m Humber RIB fitted with a 140hp Johnson engine.

"Tigger"

This is a 6m Humber fitted with a 90hp Honda 4 stroke engine.

"Biggs-Y"

This is 4m Avon Searider RIB fitted with a 75hp Evinrude engine.

"Interceptor"

This is a 4m Zapcat SIB fitted with a specially adapted 50hp Mariner Lightning engine.

"Seaspray"

This is a 5.1m Tornado RIB fitted with a 90hp Yamaha engine.

"Mor-den"

This is an 8m RIB with a diesel inboard engine.
