NER Training Weekend - Plymouth

Our first training weekend was hosted by Mike and Liz Whelan  at  Plymouth Powerboat School in Devon. Over the three days we had 7 candidates pass a VHF and DSC course, 8 completed an RYA Safety Boat course and a further 3 brilliant candidates passed their RYA Powerboat Level 2 course.

BUCS Heads

Despite freezing weather and fierce snow storms, Glen, Bill, John and Nadia brave the icebergs on the River Nene to provide safety cover for the BUCS Rowing Head in Peterborough. After an aborted attempt in 2009 due to large chucks of ice in the river it was nice to get the go ahead for this year's event.
