We are actively seeking new events and more volunteers for 2013. If you think we could help at your event or want to get involved contact us.
With the help of our volunteers, we did this...
Looking back at 2012
Queens Diamond Jubilee Pageant, Day 70 of the Olympic Torch Relay, the finish of the Clipper round the world race, The Great River Race and much more, 2012 was certainly action packed. Here are a few highlights and there's more in the 2012 Archive here.
THE Queens Diamond Jubilee Celebrations
The Diamond Jubilee River Pageant, on 3 June 2012, was one of the most spectacular events of the four-day bank holiday weekend marking the Queen's 60-year reign. With the Queen heading the fleet, which included vessels from the UK, Commonwealth, and around the world.
Northern Exposure Rescue was asked to manage the safety for this event by the Port of London Authority as we are the ONLY organisation in the UK that has delivered safety cover for events on anywhere near this scale previously.
THE Great River Race: September 2013
After the great success of last year’s Great
River Race, Northern Exposure Rescue has again been
asked to co-ordinate the safety for the Race. This
is due in no small part to all our volunteers hard
To keep the competitors safe we need a fleet of at least 40 safety boats to spread along the whole course. If you would like to help out with this years GRR or want more information go to the GRR pages.
best view of the GRR is from a safety boat in
the middle of the river Thames.

The 2012 Great River Race was a great success and we couldn't have done it without the help of all our volunteer safety crews. Photos from the event are available here on the event blog.
